FAIRFIELD
COUNTY SOUTH CAROLINA
DEED
VOLUME AC
APR 1870
– NOV 1872
These
are copies of the original land bond series for Fairfield County, South
Carolina. This is a joint project with
the Fairfield County Historical Museum and the Fairfield County Library. This is the entire Plat Series in the county
records. The records are from microfilm
rolls provided by the museum and library.
The indexes cover the entire deed series, so they should be used
regardless of which volume is being looked at.
The
files are in .jpg format and are best viewed in an imaging application. This particular project is based on IrFanView, available for free at:
If
you install this application, it will add it as a browser plug-in and will
auto-invoke when you click any of the below links. The images are best
viewed in 256 color to allow the widest range of grayscale. If you view it in 16 color, it comes out
dark.
Please note
– quality in this book is very bad. It
also appears to overlap Volume AB in registration dates. This deed book in particular has about half
the images very faded, so it was imaged at a darker setting. The scanned images are the best that could be
obtained. Viewing at the highest color
range is best – full 16.7m is the best as it gives the greatest color contrast.
The first 52
pages are a direct index, however, I recommend you use the consolidated index
linked of the main page as this volume’s pages are very faded.
