About this site and its data

DeedMapper

The site was created by DeedMapper 4.2, a mapping program from Direct Line Software that provides an easy-to-use way for researchers to plot land records. The program created this web site as a way for you to see my work without having to own DeedMapper.

Browser compatibility

The site uses SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) which older browsers do not handle. If the plots do not look like they are being displaying correctly, update your browser or try a different one. It has been tested with Internet Explorer 9, Opera 11, Firefox 18. Browsers that do not work include Safari 5.1 and Chrome.

Instructions

The PlotView and TableView tabs provide access to the data. The instructions are very simple.

• On the PlotView move your cursor around the map to highlight tracts. Click on one to go to TableView to display information for the one you selected.
• On the TableView, click on the first column of any entry. This will take you to the PlotView for that item. Items that have no correspoding plot do not show as a link (underlined blue).
• Zoom in or out as desired. Use the PgUp and PgDn keys.
• Use the scrollbars or arrow keys to navigate around the PlotView
